When it comes to eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle, the best advice I can give is to be like a girl scout– always be prepared. If you stock your fridge with healthy options your far less likely to go off-track. If you lay out your workout clothes the night before, it’s a lot easier to get out of bed in the morning. If you write out a workout plan, you’re far more likely to do it.
If you can carve out a little bit of time for weekly food prep, it will make sticking with your nutrition plan simple. I like to use Sunday evenings and I’ll cook up a whole package of chicken and chop up a bunch of veggies and put them in tupperware. This way, putting together salads for lunch is just a matter of grabbing a handful from each. Super easy, no excuse not to!
For dinners, you can cook and freeze your protein of choice and always have something on hand. One of my favorite freezable recipes is for healthy meatballs. They’re super quick and easy to prepare and taste great even after being frozen. Just grab one or two (or three depending on the size), pop them into the microwave, and voila- instant dinner.
